Hi, my name is Finny Martin Chellappa. Though I grew up in a Christian home. I always believed in Jesus but did not realize that I needed to follow him. I started to play guitar when I was 11 years old, had a good name in school because of music, won many competition but that was not it. When I joined Madras Christian College in the year 1987, I was selected in the music auditions as the best bass guitarist to join the college band. As I got into music, I was also dragged into drugs, LSD's and alcohol. I thought there was no way out because my life was in a mess.

I was so secured when I had a large circle of friends, but whenever I was alone, I used to be a loner, they say "a loner is always a goner". I was a real pain and a burden to my parents since they were into ministry. My father Evangelist Sadhu Chellappa used to cancel his meetings and fast and pray for my life to change so is my mother. One night the Lord literally spoke into my ears in a mild voice. He said, 'I have given you my level of blessings in playing music, but you are destroying my gifts in you and if you come to me and lift up my name, I will come to you and lift you up'. To cut short, by the grace of God, the Lord Jesus Christ delivered me from drug addiction and without any drug symptoms, Jesus Christ healed my whole body, mind and soul. My parents four years of prayers never went in vain. They my spiritual father and mother forever in my life.
In the year 1990, I had the privilege to go to Switzerland to do DTS (Discipleship Training School) in YWAM. And in the year 1991, went to Singapore to do SBS (school of Bible Studies). This helped me a lot to know the Lord Jesus Christ more and better in my life. I went for Pastoral and Leadership Training in the year 1992-1994 at Evangelical Action Team of India in Chennai, India. I believe I am giving my best for God and the Lord is doing the rest of it for me.

Solomon said the price of a good wife is "far above rubies" (Proverbs 31:10). I have a worthy wife, Rebecca and two precious girls. Michelle is the eldest, she is 10 years old and Joanna is the youngest, she is 5 years old. 'There is nothing like serving the Lord Jesus Christ' as a whole family.
We are here to understand where God can take us if we aim to see the good news of Jesus come into our culture and be good news to a generation that is lost.
'Jesus is no longer on the cross, he has gloriously ascended. We are His mouth and hands, the channels of His hope and love. Jesus has completed His work - now lets get on with ours'.
Personal Faith Statement

I believe in the name of the Father God, son Jesus and the Holy Spirit because the word says, 'He is the way, truth and Life and no one come to the father but through son Jesus'. I believe Jesus is the only God who died for the mankind so that our sins would be washed away by His blood and He rose again on the third day so that we may have eternal life.
I believe all scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching. I believe every word that is written in the Holy Bible is full of His Spirit and Truth. It is my daily bread to taste and see that the Lord is good. It helps me to share the love of God to others so that they may be witnesses of Jesus Christ.

I believe in the unity and the fellowship of God's servants so that we may be encouraged in spirit and the anointing of the Lord would always be with us to fight the good fight of faith and win the good race.
I believe that all believers on earth are the body of Christ. Jesus commanded us to go to do what He did while He was on the earth. It is the follow up ministry of Jesus. The real ministry of a Christian is to prepare both him and the world. I believe it is a privilege to preach the gospel. Whether in season or out season, preach the word by showing the love of Jesus to people as He loved us so that God's kingdom would be built.
